In a recent conversation with my brother, in which I was naming characters in a script I am writing, I suggested the name Milo. My brother shot it down, and called it nerdy. I never thought it was nerdy. What is your opinion?

I actually like the name Milo and don't think it is nerdy at all. I had it on my list of baby names but hubby vetoed it because it reminded him of the movie Milo and Otis.

The thing that comes to my mind is the mixture you use for catfishing, it has a terrible smell, and its called Milo.

I think it could be a good middle name but not first name.

I think in the 80s, the name "Milo" would have been the name of a nerdy character in a movie or TV show. Times have changed though, and I actually have a friend who named her son Milo. I think that people have become a lot more open minded about names, and "nerdy" isn't really such a bad thing anymore. After all, it's "nerds" who keep this big thing called the Internet going.
